Leif Engstrom for AM SURF

Montauk's home town hero, Leif Engstrom in Puerto Rico for Adam Mar Surf Shop

Harrison Roach for AM SURF

In this day and age, you’d be hard-pressed to find a more well-rounded surfer than Harrison Roach. He has an innate ability to ride just about anything that floats with world-class skill. The smooth lines Harrison draws in his surfing, a tone that can be seen and felt, come full circle in his story telling and artistry behind the lens.

Harrison shared with us a personal dissertation on his Noosa surfing family, and the place that he calls home.

"New Age Let Down" was the title of our cover story for AM SURF issue NO 1. The story was a feature on Justin Adams, his surfing, shaping and art.

A little backdrop on how this came to be... "New Age Let Down" was a surf film by Tin Ojeda which eatured Justin Adams, Alex Knost and Kassia Meador.

Tin filmed a portion of "New Age Let Down" in Montauk. He was generous enough to share a bit of footage from their sessions.

Jefferey Jones was asked to come shoot stills for the movie. His imagery made up a good chunk of our feature on Justin Adam in AM SURF NO 1.

Spring / Summer '25 Lookbook

"Its high density blue roofing insulation. So I got the wood 4 inches thick by 3/8” thick, and glued them up in my friends shop. Bought a planer to put rocker in it. I actually finished one and rode it.

I took a Tanner 'Paisley' and made it more tear-dropped shaped. I shaped it in the Lower East Side in my backyard. Then we turned the rails in MTK (Montauk). Rode it un-glassed. It doesn’t take in water so it's okay, except the glue won’t hold for more than a few sessions."
